Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 29, 2026

ancore ("us", "we", or "our") operates the Breaking The Habit mobile application (the "Service").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

1. Information Collection and Use

We built the Breaking The Habit app to respect your privacy. All your habit-tracking data, logs, and personal settings are securely saved only on your local device using local storage mechanisms.

We do NOT collect, transmit, distribute, or sell your personal data to any external servers or third parties. Your habits and data remain completely private and exist only on the hardware where the app is installed.

2. Permissions

Depending on the features you use, the App may request certain device permissions (e.g., Notifications to remind you of your habits). You can enable or disable these permissions at any time through your device's settings menu.

(Note: We do not actively record or transmit audio, and any microphone permissions inadvertently requested by internal media modules are strictly unused.)

3. Security

We value your trust in providing us with your personal data, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Because Breaking The Habit stores data locally on your device, the security of your data is primarily dependent on the security of the device itself.

4. Third-Party Services

The app does not utilize third-party backend servers to track your habits. However, the app is built using the Expo SDK and React Native framework, which may collect basic crash reports or entirely anonymous telemetry depending on the app stores (e.g., Google Play Console or Apple App Store) where you downloaded the app.

5. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page within the App or on our official repository.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

7. Contact Us
